WiFi Hotspots
You can now checkout the Internet from the library! A mobile Internet hotspot uses cellular access to create a WiFi connection, allowing people to connect to the Internet where there is not typically strong, or any, WiFi access. The library System has received hotspots to be checked out by our patrons.
These hotspots were made available through The Minnesota State Library, a division of the Minnesota Department of Education that created a connectivity grant for libraries across the state. This program is partially funded with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education using federal funding, CFDA 45.310, Library Services and Technology Act (LS-00-19-0024-19) Grants to States.
Hotspots can be checked out by any county resident with a library card in good standing. They may not be placed on hold, but are available on a first come, first serve basis. Since they are a limited resource, they are checked out for one week and cannot be renewed.
Loan Periods

Renewals
Renewals may be done in person, by phone or through the Online Catalog. The item cannot be renewed if it has a hold, the renewal limit for the item has been reached, or the patron has been blocked due to fines or fees of $5.00 or more or more than 5 items overdue.
Items borrowed from outside the Plum Creek Library System through MnLink cannot be renewed unless a special request is made.
For more information on how to renew, see our How Do I? page.
Fines
Tracy Public Library does not charge late fees. Fines accrued at other Plum Creek libraries must still be paid, and will be forwarded to the library where the fines were accrued.
Book Club
The Tracy Public Library Book Club meets the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. The Book Club does not meet in December. For more information and to sign up, contact the Library Director.
Interlibrary Loan
If the library location you are at doesn't have the item you want, we can pull it from another library all at no charge to you. We can get items from all over Minnesota and bring them to the library for you to pick up and check out, all for free. To find items that you can get through interlibrary loan, go to our catalog for all Plum Creek items or MNLink for items statewide and place a hold. For more information on how to place holds, see our How Do I? page or ask library staff for help.
Homebound Delivery
Homebound delivery of library materials is available to patrons who are unable to come to the library because of advanced age, extended illness or physical/ mental limitation. Delivery is available to residents within the city limits. Patrons can choose from the library's wide selection of books, large print books, magazines, audiobooks, DVD's, and music CD's. Call the library for more information.
